In November, I took the Girl Scouts to the Weis in Macungie, Pa to
get a free tour of the store.
The girls had a great time, the tour had a detective theme,
the girls all got a hat and a magnifying glass to help them investigate!
The tour started out with a briefing that explained the mysteries that the detectives needed to solve through-out the store.
This lead to the girls going through the aisles looking for certain foods
that would help to solve the mysterious problem.
As the girls visited each aisle, they learned about the food
in that section. They learned how the healthy ones can help your body and how others aren't good for you. They also were able to taste different foods from each section. As a parent I thought this was a great addition, because I saw my daughter eating foods that she had never had the opportunity to try before!
Overall, this was a great trip. It was easy to set up, the girls had fun and
it was educational!
I rate this trip a 9. It was everything they said it would be, it was easy to set up and the girls had a good time.
Even though I brought my girls scout troop this time, I do think this would
also be a great family trip with children ages 5-10!
